What format are the files?
High resolution JPG files suitable for digital use and printing up to A4. Files are delivered immediately after purchase.
What versions are included?
Alex shoots on both colour and black and white film. Some images are supplied in both colour and black and white versions.
Others exist in one version only, determined by the film stock they were shot on. Images captured on black and white film cannot be converted to colour — what you receive reflects the original creative decision made at the time of shooting.
What does the border look like?
A natural film border is the irregular edge that appears when a photograph is scanned directly from the negative.
It shows the full extent of the film frame, including the slight variations in tone and texture at the edges that occur during the shooting and developing process.
The decorative frames shown in the product image galleries and promotional imagery are not included.
Are the images exclusive to me?
No. Licences are shared, meaning the same images may be licensed by multiple buyers. We do not currently offer exclusivity on existing collections. If you are interested in commissioning an exclusive collection for your brand, please contact info@lesvolumes.com.
Can I use the images in templates, mockups or digital products?
Your commercial licence permits you to use our images to promote your products — including in mockups, campaign imagery, website product pages and social content.
However, our images may not be embedded within editable digital files such as templates, Canva designs, or similar formats where the image could be extracted or accessed by the end user.
Full licence details are available here.
Can I use these commercially?
Yes, with the appropriate licence. Full details are available in our licence terms.
Why do some images include imperfections?
All images are photographed on 35mm and 120 film. Natural characteristics of analogue photography such as grain, subtle colour variation and small imperfections are intentionally preserved.
Who took the photographs?
All images were photographed on film by Alex Grace Jones.
Can I commission a custom collection for my brand?

Do I need to credit Les Volumes?
A great deal of work goes into every collection we produce. You're welcome to use our images freely, credit is appreciated but never required.
Where we work directly with the spaces and businesses featured, we include their name alongside the image. We'd love for you to tag and credit them when you use the images — it's a small gesture that connects the designers and creatives in our community directly with the spaces that inspired the work.
